In 2012, Mariana Pajon became only the second Gold medalist from her home country. With her win at the London Olympics, she was instantly boosted in to an instant sports celebrity in Colombia. Mariana followed up her Olympic Gold in 2013 with an incredible last-minute charge to take over the points-lead in Pro Women, coming in to The Grands. In Tulsa, she fought hard with Redline’s Alise Post in all three mains, and came out on top - winning her first USA BMX National No.1 Championship. No.1 Woman Pro and Gold medalist ... there isn’t much that Mariana can’t do and hasn’t won.

My name is Sarah Walker, I’m from New Zealand and I love & live BMX. I started racing at the age of 10, (beginning of 1999) for some fun and so I wouldn’t be bored watching my brother anymore. Since then I have been to more than 20 countries and lived out of a suitcase for a lot of the last eight years, all with my bike beside me. In 2006, I decided to chase my dream, to be the fastest girl on a 20″ bike in the world, and to be New Zealand’s 1st BMX Olympian. After missing out on a medal at Beijing, I came back to win a Silver Medal in London! My goal is to now win Gold at the next Olympics in Rio, 2016. The Silver Medal in London is the highlight of my career so far edging out dual World Champion in Adelaide, 2009.

Just a So Cal BMX'ER who learned to Ride at Legendary Twin Palms in Riverside, CA. Soon started racing at Riverside BMX and Coal Canyon BMX and got hooked. Watched and met many good riders like Mike Haupt, Chris Schoonover, Ryan Vanderveen, Robert "Cuz" Taylor, Mike Rebelo, Bubba Harris, Dwight Tardy, Andre Ellison, Tj Ellis, Gilbert Contreras, Greg Romero, Tanner Sabesta, Todd Lyons, Eric Carter, Barry Nilson and Jason Carnes who are just a few of my favorite riders and Racers. Stopped racing for about 16 years till moving to El Paso, Texas where I found a new home track in Desert Downs BMX. Lots of history there and I'm glad to call it my home track. Been racing four years now and am loving my AWESOME new friends. Eric Watts, Frankie "The Freight Train Teddy Bear" Patterson, Joseph Beck, Mike McKay, Clint Nelms and Rick Guthrie. ¡ BMX4LIFE !

I started racing when I was 14 back then the sweet tracks were in Arvada( remember the bridge) and at Boulder County Fairgrounds during the winter Indoor, that was fun. I Quit when i was around 17. I always rode mountain bikes of and on and was a hard core road biker for about the last 6 years up until June 2018. I Just started Riding bmx again in June of 2019 and started racing again at the same time. I'm in Intermediate Class Trying to gain my feet again and trying to get used to this 20" but these young expert riders are fast and I'm having trouble keeping up. i just need to push myself hard, start hitting the gym, and have NO FEAR!! . UPDATE: 07/01/20 - practicing and getting better gunning for the #1 in state this year. I think I can do it as long as I don't get stuck racing experts all year. Also really trying my best to earn 18 scratch that 17 more 1st places this year so I can move up to expert which will be a much more difficult task since I'm always racing experts , but it can only make me better .
