STATE FINAL WEEKEND – SEPTEMBER 15-17, 2023
Duke City BMX is excited to host the 2023 New Mexico State Championship Weekend. This is a 600 point weekend and starts out on Friday, September 15 with a single point ribbon race. Signup time is from 6-7 pm and the cost is $8. Saturday, September 16 is a double points pre-race, signups from 9:30 – 11 am, and the cost is $25. Sunday, September 17th is the New Mexico State Championship Final. This is a triple point race, signups from 9:30 – 11 am, and the cost is $35. In person signups begin on Friday, September 15. You may also signup online at dukecitybmx.org under the schedule tap. Don’t wait in line presign online and skip to the front of the line to check in and get your sticker.
TOMAS TAKEOVER PRO-AM & MINI-AM
Round #7 will be Sunday, September 17, 2023, for both the Pro/Am and the Mini/Am. Signups will be available the day of the event. If you are interested in sponsoring a round, please reach out directly to Tomas Fernandez at 239-3630 or email adriana@dukecitybmx.org
Training – Dad’s Clinic
At the request of our older riders we have scheduled four special “Dad Clinics”. The first one will be on Saturday, September 30 at 8 am. For further information or any questions call Kalvin at 505-559-0587. Other clinic dates are October 14th and 28th, and November 11th. More information will be in next months newsletter.
DOUBLE POINTS HALLOWEEN RACE – OCTOBER 29, 2023
This year our earned double points race will be on Sunday, October 29th. Signup times are from 10-11 am and the cost is $25. Any additional information about this race will be updated with the October calendar.
ANNUAL MEETING AND BANQUET
The annual meeting and year end banquet will be held this year on Saturday, November 4 at the Sid Cutter Pavilion at Balloon Fiesta Park. This is also the date for elections for the board of directors. There are open positions so if you are interested in being on the board, please pick up the description of the position in signups. Further information will be in next month's newsletter.
Timing System
The timing system is currently up and running thanks to the loaner provided by Sqorz/MyLaps. Be sure to purchase your transponder at signups for $50 to take advantage of this great training tool. It is the rider’s responsibility to let us know at signups that you would like your transponder turned on. This is a free service right now. Please note that a fee may be charged in the future.
Training Available at the Track
