The safety of our riders and spectators is important to us. The following protocols will be in place in the event of inclement weather. If you have any questions, please send us an email. 

Rain: 

If the track is too wet to race/practice, we will do our best to post a notice on the Kamloops BMX Facebook page by 5 p.m. The track will be closed if there is lightning in the area. 

Smoke: 

Our smoke protocol is in effect all summer. If the AQHI is above a 6 at 5 p.m., we will postpone the race until the following Monday. All readings will be made from the Government of Canada air quality index website. 

Heat: 

Kamloops summers can be extremely hot and dry. Extreme heat will be monitored and any decisions made to postpone races or practices will be posted on Facebook.
