2019 USABMX Lone Star Nationals
The 2019 National Series took its final laps this weekend at the Rockstar Energy Bike Park in Houston, Texas. The Lone Star Nationals gave all USA BMX Members a weekend full of action packed racing with one of the best looking abilities in the nation. From the Elite Men and Women, to the little tykes on little bikes, the excitement was high for the first glimpse into the 2020 Worlds venue.
The Lone Star Nationals were greeted by a chilly Friday pre-race in Houston, Texas. But with those cold temps, Friday brought a great night of racing at the future venue of the 2020 Worlds. The Final 2019 GoPro North American SX Series kicked off in a big way on Friday Night. An unlucky wreck in turn one put Chase's, Joris Daudet, on to the Injured Riders list, leaving Corben Sharrah, Anderson Souza, and Connor Fields to take their turns in battling it out in the Elite Men's class.

The Women Elite class was dominated all weekend by The Beast, a challenging and technical track was no match for the World Champion and her Coach, leaving the weekend with a perfect Race weekend startign it all off on Friday Night.

The official Day 1 of the 2019 Lone Star Nationals brought with it much better weather and power house amateur races. From The 6 & Under Mixed Open to 51 & Over Expert classes, the RockStar Energy Bike Park challenged us all to ride smooth and smart. A class that had it the hardest this weekend was the 16 Expert Class, with 4 racks and a total of 21 riders, local boy Dylan Wood and Daylight Cycles', Zach Jacob battled it out all weekend with Cameron Wing right on their back wheels.

Another tight race on day one came from the industry side, as Factory Full Tilt/Radio and Factory Answer tied in the team sheet results, however Factory Full Tilt/Radio won the tiebreaker to win the day.

They don't call it Sunday Funday for no reason, and Day 2 of the Lone Star Nationals did not disappoint. The top story of the day was the 2019 Canadian National #1 Women title winner, Teigen Pascual, extending her lead in the U.S. point race by clinching the win on Day 2

The other Title contender in the mix this weekend came out of the 8 Cruiser & 8 Expert classes. Throwdwn's Joseph Mather is on the chase for the National #1 spot in both the Boys's Cruiser and Amatuer Boys titles. and with a nearly perfect weekned in Houston, Texas, the Omaha native could be on his way into the record books.
