I grew up riding 20" bmx bikes until '87 but no racing. I did start racing, but it was roadracing 2-stroke motorcycles on tracks for the next 12 years.

After not thinking about bmx bikes for years my coworker asks me one day "do you remember those 24" GT's"? My reply was "I don't recall 24" bmx bikes" everyone I rode/grew up with rode 20" bikes.

Long story short, I found out about the local tracks and went to some local bike shops and found that I would rather have a modern 24" race bike than buy a vintage 24" bike (like my coworker collects).

That was October 2013 (ah my b-day) and by the end of the month, I found a race bike and went to the track and got a USA BMX membership.

Now it's mid 2014 and I'm on my 3rd 24" race bike already, and can't wait to ride at more tracks that I haven't ridden yet...see you on the starting gate!
