Merrick Bayless Intermediate Renegade Racing

Michael was born to race. In fact, it’s in his blood. His Dad grew up in the BMX world of the 90’s and 00’s so it was only natural that Michael would enjoy the sport as much as he does. Joining USA BMX in 2019, Michael quickly progressed through Novice earning his first 10 wins in less than a year. At 10 Intermediate Michael has overcome adverse challenges such as racing Experts as well Intermediates older than him. He always maintains a positive attitude and looks for ways to personally challenge himself each time he hits the track despite the talent of his opponents. Off the track, Michael continues his training and practicing his skills at the Pump Track in Avondale, AZ as well as the dirt track in Estrella Mountain Ranch. Michael’s hard work and dedication to the sport did not go unnoticed, he was picked up by Sparta Racing for the 2021 season. Michael has made many new friends throughout the BMX community and is building great relationships to last a lifetime with his fellow Sparta Racing teammates. Michael is a fifth grader in the Litchfield Elementary School District and in his off time, he enjoys taking road trips with his family, riding his scooter and skateboard, playing video games, and hanging out with his fellow BMX friends. Michael continues to grow on and off the track and is looking forward to a great 2021 racing alongside his Dad, younger sister, Emily, and his Sparta Racing Teammates! I started out at the track watching my little brother race his strider bike. My dad bought me a bike and I raced in the novice division 1 or 2 times a month until I finally moved up to the Girls Class in March of 2013. I didn't get serious until September of 2013, when my mom let me quit dance (I took 6 years of ballet, tap, jazz and tumbling), so that I could race a few nights a week. I have been riding for Factory Supercross since 2014, and love my team.

Hi my name is Joshua C. Vega (JC) My nickname is Lil Tornado, I am a first generation BMX rider in my family. I like playing outside with my friends & my VR headset, I like skateboards, scootering and of course bike riding! I play baseball, basketball and also like karate, My favorite superhero is Miles Morales and I just turned 8 year old on April 1. I started BMX racing on ​10/22/2021, My friends from across the street invited me race and since then I fell in love with it, I’ve been working very hard and listening to coach Jordan Miranda to get stronger and faster in hopes to making the Metro BMX racing team as that is my home track.
