About Reno Battleborn BMX

MISSION STATEMENT

Reno Battleborn BMX is a nonprofit (501c3) organization, volunteer-run, BMX (bicycle motocross) track located at 115 W. 6th St. in Sun Valley NV; offer competitive racing opportunities sanctioned by USA BMX.

OUR MISSION:

At Reno Battleborn BMX we are here to promote and provide a quality BMX program to stimulate a fun, engaging, safe, healthy recreational program.  We offer a positive environment.   We emphasize good sportsmanship and responsibility. Help build character through family and friends togetherness.

BMX events are held on our hard dirt-packed racetrack where each rider races in single lap races (motos) pedaling (No motors) in this fast, action-packed sport. Our local season runs from Jan. 1st through Dec. 15th, weather permitting.  There are several skill levels starting from Strider (no pedals/balance bikes), Girls, Novice, Intermediate, Expert, and Pro with races organized by age and proficiency/skill levels.

OBJECTIVES:

  1. We offer a great place for our community to come together in a friendly atmosphere, mingle, ride, race and compete in this great Olympic sport.
  2. Participating in this sport as a member, volunteer, spectator or part of our Track team is sure to bring excitement & personal growth to everyone involved.
  3. We are made up of a diverse mix of volunteers and riders and we are dedicated to ensuring that every rider has fun competing.
  4. A safe place for participants of all ages in our community to grow as individuals and athletes, and because BMX racing is based on skill, not age, this helps bring together all age groups, in not only competing with but mentoring one another.
  5. At the track, we have a loaner bike and safety gear program used for individuals that want to come out and try the sport.  We want to see every individual is able to participate; even if they do not own a bike. Just let us know what we can do to help meet all our rider needs.
  6. We offer safety classes and clinics to help riders improve their techniques and help them improve their confidence on and off the track.
  7. We offer free one-day trial memberships so everyone can come out and try this great sport. Riders can bring their friends and family to come to fall in love with the sport as we all have.

VALUES:

  1. Promote and educate goal setting, good sportsmanship, mentoring, confidence building.
  2. We are compassionate, positive mentors and role models for our community.
  3. We provide affordable, family-oriented entertainment to our community.
  4. We provide memories to last a lifetime through relationships, Growth, Achievements, & Integrity
