How Are Tracks Ranked?
Did you know tracks also earns points?
TRACK POINTS: Each track earns track points every time they sell a full new or renewal membership. Track points determine which tracks are awarded special multi-point races. Riders renewing their membership can credit any track of their choice with their paid membership regardless of where they sign up. New memberships (class or cruiser) will only be credited to the track which listed them on the TORF. This track competition runs annually from January 1 thru the first Friday after December 15th at 5:00 PM.
Points are awarded to the track after the member competes in one completed race. Track points help to determine the track’s overall track ranking in their respective region (East, Central or West).
They also determine which tracks will receive:
- An Earned Double point race the following year (based on 800 or more Track Points from January 1 through the first Friday after December 15th at 5:00 PM, or by finishing in the top 50% of tracks in the state points.
- The State or Provincial Championship Final event, (triple point) the following year is awarded to the track with the most points in the state/province. Along with the SCF race an additional double point race is awarded which can only be used in conjunction with this state final.
- State Championship Race (double point or triple point), is awarded to the 2nd place track within each state that accumulates the 2nd highest membership points total.
- Scholarship Double Point Race, for states and provinces with 3 or more tracks, is awarded to the 2nd and 3rd place track within each sate that accumulates the 2nd and 3rd highest membership track points total.
